I love makeup. We all know this and more than anything I love makeup at a discount. It does something to my frugal heart to find good quality products at places like the Dollar Tree. Stuff that would normally cost 3x's more in drugstores I can get for just $1! And to top it off I'm learning that the Dollar Tree is invaluable to any makeup artist, pro and freelance. I was able to snag some Milani and E.L.F products that I can't wait to try out. I also got some pill boxes for depotting purposes as I prepare my freelance makeup kit.
Speaking of my makeup kit, Friday I finally bought a train case. What is a train case? This is basically a suitcase to carry my makeup and tools to gigs. I lucked out and found one I like (for now) at Ulta. It was on sale for $33.75 and I used a $5 off coupon to get it for only $30 after taxes. Sweet!! While there I also picked up the infamous Real Techniques brushes. In the makeup world these brushes are a great investment and pretty much amazing. We shall see if they live up to the hype. I will be sure to let you guys know.
Lastly, I went to my local BSS (beauty supply store) and found some KISS NY stick foundations. A good quality but not overly priced full coverage foundation is hard to come by, but at only $7.99 I felt these were worth a shot. If they turn out to be the bees knees I will be going back and getting them in every single shade. And ladies, please do not sleep on your local BSS to find both drugstore and high end makeup bargains!
I will be sure to do reviews on everything I purchased once I use them. And if anyone knows Boyz II Men personally can you hook me up?
Be Blessed and Encouraged!
